Seers of Vyrose

Yillilly are strangers from a strange land. The eternal code of neutrality they practice as a whole has earned them a position of strategic political influence. Legends tell us they come from oceans beyond our reality, where echo the whale songs of the ancients.

Thin yet course aqua scales stretch over their bodies. Their maw is filled with razor teeth. Gills breach their neck permitting underwater breathing. Some Yllilly canst summon webbed fins to allow for sleek oceanic travel. Some may appear Vyrosian, whilst others are more akin to the Diamond Sharks that master the Conclastion Sea. Yillilly prefer long robes with hoods and stray from tight clothing or armor that constricts movement.

Yllilly are sought out by every nation to perform in political roles such as ambassador. Most established peoples welcome the Yllilly within their borders. Even vile Dark Races such as the Thedd Khai utilize Yllilly when possible. Other common roles include scribes, Lore Masters, Tower Wizards, Historians, and Court officers.

The seers do not operate as a unified body, but instead each walks Vyrose alone seeking to aid nations in need. Some believe they have a sense for strife and conflict. They appear when needed and disappear when the sun’s work is done. The absence of House or Caste proves both a strength and weakness. Yllilly depend on surrounding nations for support. Yet their allegiance is without bias.

In contrast to their prowess of counsel, strange racial customs, survival needs, and disgusting habits keep the Yllilly always at arm’s distance. When wounded severely they may be more prone to shed a limb as if it were nothing more than a garment instead of seeking healing. A carnivorous appetite and lack of dining etiquette tend to create a gruesome spectacle at the table. And closely guarded racial rituals furnish an endless supply of rumors and mystique. Yet always able to find the good in any situation, Yllilly claim this keeps them distant enough to avoid forming too tight of bonds and alliances.

Magick comes easily to the Yillillly. Yll Mages enjoy a natural flow of Mana and easily adapt to any Elemental Spells. Yll craftsmen teach Vyrose lost techniques using rare chitin to forge armor and weapons well suited to arm mages. And the natural magick they posess is said to resemble the telekinetic power displayed by the ancient Dragon Elves.
