One case in particular which is seemingly incurable and dooms one to a brief shadowed life. Word of this plague spread with more haste than the disease itself and fear grips the throat of the Kingdom.

Several Adventuring parties and an entire Drakon all entered with the goal of rescuing survivors amd nay one hath returned. Water pure as the nexus floweth in streams feeding mystical trees unlike any ever beheld on the face of Verose. Rich mineral veins stretch their fingers to the surface. What secret lies dormant here waiting to be uncovered? How is it that this oasis thrives among the Ashen Desert?

Refugees from amongst the ruins of neighboring towns are turned back by the Wall Defenders who fear the plague the refugees carry. Those strong enough to survive are beginning to find that the Ebon Oasis be no mere myth to bring hope to the despaired lands.
